‘NUFF SAID’
The Board of Burgesses for the borough of Letchfield Ct. voted recently to ban all yellow ribbons on trees on the Litchfield green. Yellow ribbons are commonly tied around trees to honor members of the Armed Service branches.
When i watched this on the news today it just made me sick to my stomach. What is this board thinking. We can’t even honor our troops now with ribbons?
The reasons given were absurd! The board essentially is saying that to many ribbons are unsightly and damaging the trees. Also, they say that it could lead to more groups putting up ribbons for their causes. Well this group, OUR SOLDIERS, is not just any group. They are the lifeblood of America. To hell with worrying about what other groups think. This board needs to get some backbone.
